Stephen Hardy
Steve has been a deacon and Church Secretary for 30+ years. He is married to Joy and has 3 sons and 6 grandchildren.
​
He is a foundation Governor of a CofE primary school. His outside interests include history, archaeology and the Leicester Tigers!
Joel Spaxman
Joel is the newest deacons to move to Leicester. He came with his family from the Horn of Africa, where he was the director of an English school. He is also the Saint Matthews Matters Community Worker.
​
Joel loves talking about history, sport and faith! He is always up for a coffee.
Mohan Shah
Mohan has been a deacon for 20 years. He was born in Kenya, but his background is Indian and was brought up Jain. He started following Jesus 40 years ago and is married to Annette.
​
He has worked in the shoe industry, the police and social services. He loves walking, meeting people from other countries and Leicester Tigers.​​
